Probably top 10 rental car I’ve ever had. Comfortable, easy to drive and very nice to look at. I would consider one for a personal vehicle.

A nicely optioned minivan is a surprisingly nice experience, including road trips. And you can put so much stuff in them.

People like the Pacifica. And minivans are underrated. But a short term rental frankly seems like the best way to experience FCA “quality”

Could it be worse than my Outback?
I do worry about those automatic doors and the hvac controls were already sticking. The van only had 5,700 miles on it so pro I still on the original oil.

Mandatory rental for any business trip that includes golf clubs. Not sure I’ve ever rented anything else when in Charlotte.

My neighbors have one and love it... and the 84 mo 0 down financing!

I’d consider a Pacifica but two of my house’s 3 vehicles are older paid off competitors. You’re not wrong to worry about the power sliding doors. I’ve had have bits replaced on them on my wife’s Odyssey and on my Sienna the one powered door the
motor started acting up about 5 years ago at the
age 10. To Toyota’s credit, there’s a dash switch to switch off the motor and operate the door manually, which was my solution to the problem..

Idk the general failure rate of the electric sliding doors but considering they’ve been around on multiple vans for decades I’d think they’d have the major issues out.

I just had one of these for a long weekend in Florida. It is a delight. I loved it.

On a rental, I’d be willing to give those a pass on account of the number of cups of coffee that have been spilled on them.
I got a Ford Explorer loaner with only a few k on it while recall work was being done on the F-150 last year that had non-op rear HVAC controls and only intermittently operating front controls due to whatever had been spilled on the console.
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

A minimally optioned minivan is a nice thing, too. I’ve looked at most of the online configurators for other minivans and I always seem to be choosing the lesser equipped models. Other than upgraded audio, I can do without most of the luxury features (leather, power doors, power seats, DVD players, vacuum cleaners, intercoms, etc.) that the fancier models seem to offer.

I spent 11 days and like 4,000 miles camping in the back of one of those last spring and it was superb. The Grand Caravan can burn in hell.

I’d like a Sienna so I’m filing that info away.

I started up a Nissan Rogue and it smelled like cigarette smoke then it had an illuminated airbag light. I got out of that and was like hey let’s take this black van, the rest is history.

A lot of us here feel that way, and that’s great. For me, I always gravitate to the loaded model. I always want all of the comfort and convenience features, and I like that today’s minivans can have that and not feel like economy cars with stuff piled on.

Agreed. I really hope they got the GAP coverage on it.
